Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Review

Good morning beauties and happy Friday!!!

So today's review should come to no surprise to y'all. If you've been watching my YouTube channel since day one then you will know that I am obsessed with these powders (understatement). They are a part of my makeup collection that I will most probably never go without. Hopefully Hourglass never discontinues these bad boys because I don't think my poor little heart can handle that pain...haha, cue in dramatic music.

In case you don't know, I have oily, sensitive, and acne prone skin ( the best of all worlds). So I have to be very careful with what I apply on my skin. With that being said, my skin also lacks that young and radiant, healthy looking skin, so I'm always on the hunt for products that can provide that for me, without making me look oily.

...and that is when Hourglass changed my skin. These powders are meant to create that "perfect light", capture, diffuse and soften the way light reflects on your skin. When I apply these powders they give my skin that healthy, luminous glow, blur out my imperfections, as well as brighten up my complexion. I swear these powders are miracles in a powder. They have dramatically changed my makeup and I can't go one day without them. They photograph beautifully as well.

These powders are very versatile. You can use them as setting powders, or finishing powders for all over your face. You can set your under eyes, so your concealer can stay in place all day. I've also used two of the shades for highlighting and bronzing my cheeks. The list is endless. The versatility is on point and I can appreciate that because the more a product can do for me the better. However, these powders are a little on the expensive side. But that goes without being said because it is Hourglass, and if you're familiar with the brand then you will know it's a high end brand.  You get 0.35 oz of powder for $45. With that being said, I can justify spending that much on a product because I feel it is truly worth it.

1. Ethereal Light is an opalescent sheer white, cool tone powder. I like to use this and Diffused Light to set and highlight my under eye.

2. Diffused Light is a soft warm pale yellow powder. Because ethereal light is cool tone and this is warm tone I like mixing both to give me my perfect under eye highlight.

3. Dim Light is a neutral peach beige powder. This powder has a little bit of both cool and warm tones. I like to use this one on my blemish scars to diminish them and blur them out.

4. Mood Light is a soft sheer lavender pink that mimics the softest most forgiving light and brightens up the complexion.

5. Luminous light is a champagne pearl powder that creates a soft incandescent candle lit glow, and it's perfect for daytime or nighttime wear.

6. Radiant light is a golden beige powder that adds a subtle warmth, perfect for bronzing.
