Peplum and Cheetah print

Do y'all know what day it is? It's Hump Day!!! (camel voice)

So this last weekend the kids and I accompanied my husband to an event they were hosting at his job.  The day was spent in bouncy houses, slides, and great performances. It was extremely hot so maybe jeans was not the best attire, but y'all know me...I can't go without them. For me, jeans are super comfortable and stylish; and once you find the perfect brand, and fit that fits you best, you simply just can't put them down.

The jeans that fit me the best are from Express. I believe I've expressed (no pun intended) this to y'all before. They simply fit the best for my body frame. And the fact that they cater for S (short), R (regular), and l (long), it's a bonus. Most of the times I buy them short because I'm most comfortable in flats, but I have a few that are regular and I can wear them with heels. I've never ventured into the long's because I'm 5'2 and they are definitely too long.

I promise you, go to the mall, try on as many different pair of jeans from different brands, and eventually you will find a brand that works with your body frame. And once you do, you will not put them down.

...Anyway, on with the outfit of the day.

I love peplum tops, they accentuate your curves by hugging your waist and flaring out. In case you're wondering, mine is from Forever21. And I know you're probably thinking, what's a grown woman doing shopping at a teeny bopper store. To each it's own. I can find some great stuff at an affordable  price.
My jeans are the barely boot, low rise from express.

These ballet style flats are from Michael Kors. The style is Fulton Moc. They are lightly padded with a rubber sole making them super comfortable. I purchased mine from Belk, but I'm sure if you just google the style you can find them wherever Michael Kors is sold.
I kept my hair and makeup pretty simple. Since it was an outdoor event I made sure my hair was up and out my face, with very minimal makeup. Not sure what the technical name of this braid is, but it's a french braid that I pulled to the side. Let me know if y'all want to see a tutorial on this braid in my youtube channel. For foundation I'm wearing the tarte amazonian clay 12 hour full coverage foundation, which came in really handy with the hot weather we had this weekend. As a blusher I used MAC cosmetics peaches. Peaches is a beautiful subtle sheertone blush, and it's perfection in the summer. I kept the eyes very simple with MAC's coral eyeshadow (pro) on the crease, and mythology on the lid. I finished the eyes with a little bit of mascara, and Anastasia beverly hills brow wiz in caramel. On my lips I'm wearing a light creamy peachy lipstick by MAC called razzledazzler and I topped it off with a limited edition lipgloss also by MAC called orange tempera.
