So, if y'all been following my youtube channel then you may know that BECCA cosmetics has slowly made its way into my little heart. So far everything that I've tried from this line besides the ultimate coverage complexion creme foundation has been phenomenal. I believe this foundation made me break out so after a couple of days of use I gave up on it. But other than that my experience with this makeup line has been on point.
Today I will be showing you the three highlighter's that I have from this line that have completely turned me into a BECCA highlighter junkie.
Becca cosmetics offers highlighters in liquid form and pressed form as well. The liquid is a sheer cream, but can be built to disco ball status quickly. When used in moderation this highlighter can easily perfect the skin with light reflecting pearls, providing a beautiful natural glow. They melt beautifully into the skin, leaving your skin naturally radiant and will adjust in any light.
I like to use this in conjunction with my foundation. I will mix both products into a mixing plate, or the back of my hand and with my foundation brush blend it in. I have to be careful when mixing it with my foundation though because I have an oily t-zone, if I apply it there it can easily emphasize my oiliness. If you do not like this method it can be also used on its own and applied to the high points of your face. Such as the tops of your cheekbones in a c motion to the tops of your eyebrows. On your cupids bow to enhance your upper lip. And if you don't have an oily t-zone it can also be applied down the bridge of your nose, forehead, and chin. I personally like to avoid these areas, but you can obviously do as you please. These liquid highlighters come at a hefty price of $41.00 with 1.7oz. Five shades are offered in the liquid form. Pearl, moonstone which is a pale gold. Opal is a golden opal pearl. Topaz is a golden bronze pearl. And last you have rose gold which is a golden rosy pink. In my opinion they are totally worth every penny. If you don't want to spend $41 on a single product, they also offer moonstone and opal in travel sizes for $19.00 and you get 0.68oz.
The other two highlighters that I have are in the pressed form. They basically work the same way as the liquid in the aspect that you can apply them on the highest points of your face. I would not recommend using these in conjunction with your foundation. I simply don't see it feasible. These powders are very creamy in consistency and provide the same beautiful luminiscent, natural glow as the liquid does. They are very finely milled and when blended out, they melt beautifully into the skin. They also adjust to your skin's natural undertones providing a uniquely glow. The powders are a little less than the liquid. You get 0.28oz at $38.00 each. They also come in five shades but instead of pearl which is offered in the liquid form you get champagne gold which is a soft warm gold. Champagne gold is the next one on my list. haha And these do not come in travel size.
